“Old Reformer,” a Revolutionary era cannon, is now on display at the Anderson County Museum! The cannon is thought to be the oldest artifact in Anderson County.

The Anderson County Museum received an award from the South Carolina Federation of Museums in recognition of excellent utilization of resources and professionalism for our Trade Street: The History of Commerce exhibit and the Trade Street book.

Trade Street contains 150 black and white and color photographs, postcards, and artifacts from the Museum’s archives. It was compiled and edited by ACM director Beverly Childs and ACM volunteer Carl Compton. It is a limited edition book and is currently on sale for $30 in the Museum Store.
